Government Changes to Apprenticeships

Employer National Insurance for all apprentices under 25 was abolished from 6 April 2016.  This will save about £1,000 a year when employing an apprentice earning £16,000, or £260 for apprentices earning £10,000 a year.

The Government is bringing in new apprenticeship standards and funding arrangements from late 2017 at the earliest, but UKTD is ready to help employers make the most of the changes and have a smooth transition from the old to the new arrangements.
