How we work

UKTD

We provide one-to-one support for apprentices in their workplace. We also provide training for trainers and other qualifications in group settings, but most of our work is on employers’ premises.
Apprenticeships take 12 – 24 months, depending on the programme.

Working with employers

One of our team will meet with the employer to help them find the right programme for their staff and assist with its implementation. We will help the employer recruit an apprentice as required.

We can also help businesses develop their online communications and marketing in various ways, including:

  • Recruit apprentices to fill vacancies using Facebook and the National Apprenticeship Service website.
  • Use social media to promote your business
  • Provide posters for advertising and leaflets for vacancies

Individual Learning Plan (ILP)

A UKTD Training Consultant will then agree an ILP with each apprentice to cover the whole programme and any additional learning needs. This will ensure that everyone involved in the programme works towards the successful completion of the apprenticeship.

For further information on any of the above, please contact enquiries@uktd.co.uk or call us on 01442 230130.

Using social media for learning and earning

UKTD is developing the use of the internet to support learning in the following ways:

  • Our Facebook site lets learners and employers share achievements and information: visit our Facebook Page
  • Every apprentice has an e-portfolio to enable them to access their ILP, assessment tasks and other activities
